About Elisha Brown

Elisha Brown is a New Haven native. She is a multimedia journalist whose goal is to combine her passion for storytelling and politics to educate the public on issues that go underreported.

She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2016 with her bachelors in Communications and a minor in Africana Studies. She is a New Haven Promise Scholarship recipient from one of the first graduation classes. Upon graduating, she worked at Yale Law School as an Administrative Assistant in the Registrar's office. She went on to pursue her Masters degree from Sacred Heart University and graduated in 2018 with a concentration in Journalism and Multimedia. She has reported for Bush Radio, an activist radio station in Cape Town, South Africa where she reported on the inadequate school system and lack of educational opportunities for people of color. Currently, Elisha works at CBS News.
